Aims of the course
Producing beautiful textures by layering fabrics, lace and other materials
What each student should achieve
A section of upcycled textiles to be used in millinery or other creative work. This can make a huge difference to an otherwise plain piece without using traditional feathers and flowers. Make use of those tiny pieces of fabric or lace that you can’t bear to throw away.
Please note that we will not make the hat shown in the photo – this is an example of how to use your work.
Teaching method
The tutor will demonstrate each stage and then give individual tuition as the ideas develop.
Materials
A selection of materials will be provided and you are welcome to bring your own to add to the mix.
